Ideation

1. Shape borrowing somehow forces you to put your assumptions aside and make a product that is different from the norm. To do shape borrowing, you must first choose a shape and try to use that shape to create a new design for a particular item. This way, your product will be unique and thus, more appealing to other people.

2. The SCAMPER is the acronym for substitute, combine, adapt, modify, put to other use, eliminate and rearrange/reverse. Substitute helps to use the particular object to change a part of another object. Combine allows you to combine the particular object with another object to make one. Adapt allows you to change the object to be able to meet a certain criteria for another idea to work on the product. Modify changes the shape of the object to make it more unique. Put to other use changes the object so that it can be used for other purposes at the same time. Eliminate takes out some redundant parts of the product to make it look or work better and rearrange or reverse makes the product look more unique. Thus, all SCAMPER can help to make the object more unique and work better.

  2. You're almost there! The explanation is quite good but it is too complicated. Try to simplify things into a general explanation.

  6. Good Job! :). Good and clear descriptions about both "shape borrowing" and "scamper". For shape borrowing, you explained how to do shape borrowing and how it will benefit us. For scamper, you explained the acronym for "scamper" and explained each type of technique. :D
